Comfort and Fit
Fit is one of the strongest points of the BP1 Pro.
These sit snugly in the ear and stay put, even during longer runs and workouts. I barely felt them once they were in, and more importantly, they maintained a good seal the entire time. That matters a lot for bass, since earbuds that shift around tend to lose low-end quickly.
They’re also IP55 rated, so sweat and splashes aren’t an issue. If you’re planning to use these while working out, that’s a big plus.
Active Noise Cancellation & Transparency
The active noise cancellation on these is surprisingly good for the price.
Indoors, they block out most environmental noise very effectively. Outdoors, they don’t completely eliminate sounds like traffic, but they do quiet things down significantly. You’ll notice a slight “seashell” whooshing effect, but once you take them out, you realize just how much noise they were actually reducing.
If you want to hear your surroundings, transparency mode is available and easy to toggle. It plays back outside noise so you can stay aware while still listening to music.
Earbud Audio Quality
(Measured with miniDSP EARS — not industry standard)
Sound quality is good overall, but it’s definitely not basshead level.
You get a small amount of thump and a touch of sub-bass rumble — but it doesn’t deliver that thick, powerful slam I usually associate with heavy bass tuning. The measurements suggest a decent bass presence, but in real listening, the upper mids and treble are also quite prominent.
The midrange isn’t especially forward, and while the bass exists, it doesn’t hit with a lot of physical impact. That said, for the price, the sound is still solid, and you can use the app to EQ them if you want to tweak things further.
Not my favorite tuning personally, but far from bad.
Battery Life
Battery life is another strong point.
With the charging case included, you can get up to around 55 hours total, which is excellent for earbuds in this price range.
They also auto shut off when no audio is playing which helps preserve battery life. In my use, that seemed to happen after roughly 20–30 minutes. Unfortunately, once they shut off, you need to put them back in the case and take them out again to turn them back on. It’s something to be aware of if you plan to use them for ANC without playing media.
Microphone Quality
The microphone is impressive.
Vocals sound natural, with only a slight muffled quality. Compared to many earbuds I’ve used, the tonality is better than average. Even more impressive is the background noise reduction — it cuts out a lot of ambient sounds while still keeping your voice intact.
For calls, these perform very well.
Beaseus App (And why I don’t use it)
The permissions don’t even all fit in this screenshot.
Using the Baseus app gives you more control over bass boost, ANC settings, and button remapping. However…
The downside is the app asks for a lot of intrusive permissions, and it requires constant internet access to even use it. So I don’t use it. If you’re okay with that, you’ll get more flexibility. If not, you’re stuck with the default settings.
Out of the box, the controls are limited. You can’t skip tracks, go back, or adjust volume directly from the earbuds. Some of this may be customizable in the app, but without using it, you can’t do much except play/pause and toggle the ANC on and off.
Verdict
The Baseus Bass BP1 Pro is surprisingly impressive. If you find them for $20 or under, I recommend them.
You get:
Comfortable, secure fit
Very good ANC
Long battery life
A surprisingly strong microphone
The sound is alright, though not true basshead level, and the controls could be better without relying on the app. Still, for the price, they’re a good pick.
